Snake Goddesses

Since writing my piece called ‘Snakes and Fakes’ I have been to a course given by Anna Simandiraki-Grimshaw (MA Phd) an expert in Mycenaean archaeology, who has researched the figurines and has discovered  evidence that suggests they were broken deliberately and placed in their stone casket at different levels and with pieces deliberately missing. She concludes that they may have been divide between two people  as a way of proving identity at  later date. Her research can be found on Academia. edu.Academia.edu
